One of the most important insects to fly fishers in Ontario is the Caddis fly. The fly is actually a moth. The ‘caterpiller’, or larva, lives under water and comes in many colours and sizes. The larva then enters a phase called pupation. From this stage it transforms into an airborne creature, the adult caddis fly.
